175 Migrants Arrested by Libyan Coast Guards

“Libya: 175 illegal migrants arrested by Libyan coast guards,” from the Afrique en Ligue:

Libyan coast guards on Monday arrested 175 African migrants who were trying to enter Europe illegally on board two small boats, a PANA correspondent reported from here.

A spokesperson for the Libyan Marine, Col. Adoub Kassem, told the Libyan Information Agency that the first boat was stopped at about 22 km to the north-east of Tripoli with 90 migrants on board.

The second boat, stopped in the north-west of the capital, had 85 migrants on board…
