European Union’s Proposals to Mitigate Migration Crises

Mitigate might be an understatement considering the massive unprecedented flows that EU’s southern and eastern member nations are enduring. Nevertheless, on September 9th, 2015, the EU released its second implementation package, in which it contained one proposal entitled “Establishing provisional measures in the area of international protection for the benefit of Italy, Greece and Hungary.” The entire proposal can be found here.

The EU also released additional documents, with information relating to safe countries of origins to how EU member states should appropriately carry out “return related tasks.” All of those documents can be read here. (You can find the first implementation package within the same link.)
